This morning we woke up to overcast skies again, but luckily it did not really rain, just a bit of mist.
Blues Breaker docked at Telegraph Harbour Marina
Early morning
Funky little tug, "Popeye"
We took a walk to the other marina simply called Thetis Island Marina, where there is also a pub. This is some scenery we saw on the way.
A horizontal arbutus at low tide. Last night it was inches above the water.
Thetis style fire truck
Had to get sugar at the store at the other marina for that "high maitenance guy"
Looking towards Chenmainus
Something we never see at home anymore. There is one at every marina and ferry dock.
Another pretty view
This is a cool little shop called "The Howling Wolf" which is part of the adjacet farm. It sells fresh baked goods, produce, etc on the honour system. You leave your money in a lock box and write down what you purchased.
.Standing outside the Howling wolf
"Howling wolf"
This is a hand woven blanket worth $250. Remember - no one in the shop but us.
I bought a mini blackberry pie and some french vanilla "Udder Boys" ice cream
Duck crossing
We then wanted to buy some "Pot of Gold" coffee that is roasted here on the island, but being Sunday, it was closed. They sell it at the foot of their driveway.
Closed today
the Bistro (where we had the awesome milkshakes and cappiccino)
Other than the walk, Leo has had his nose in "Harry Potter" pretty much all day. As I write this, the sun is finally making a reappearance and hopefully the skie will be sunny again tomorrow.
What a nice place. We re in completely different parts of the world.
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to do a boat trip like that around bc someday
Please tell uncle Leo to not eat too many pies
