Last night, just as the sun was setting, we took the dinghy over to Dick and Colleen's to have a visit. They were just finishing dinner with their friends, Gerry, who is also a member of our yacht club, and their friend' son, Peter and his friend Jay. We had a really nice visit with them out on the patio before going inside for a while. It was nice getting to know them better. Dick and Colleen have a residence in Semiahmoo but they spend a great deal of their time here in Silva Bay.
Sunset on Silva Bay
Today we took Tara over to Dick and Colleen' - she had a great romp around their beautiful 8 acre property. We took a walk up to the road and saw a couple of deer. What a great spot they have!
Then we walked back to the dock where Peter and Jay were working on D & C's boat - the two guys are sailing and this is just a stop for them. Next for them: Haida Gwaii which will take about 3 weeks for them to reach in their little sloop. Their travelling companion is Shiloh the Golden Retriever.

The voyage from Silva Bay to Nanaimo was very murky due to forest fires in the interior. I guess it's even worse back home. Very hot and humid today.
Lightstation en route to Nanaimo - anyone know the name?

Taking Tara for a pee break before meeting up with Judy and Gerald
We arranged to meet with my good friend Judy and her husband Gerald (who live in Nanoose Bay now) - we have been friends since grade 6! Haven't seen each other in 12 years - she hasn't changed at all except for the hair colour, she used to be blonde! It was so good to see them again! We had dinner at the Lighthouse Pub and then took a really nice walk along the waterfront and park.
Cindy and Judy - friends when the Beatles were still together! Now THAT"S a long time!!!!
Judy and Gerald - looking good!

We went back to the boat and had a drink on the bridge and more conversation before we said good bye. Hope to have another visit with them soon!
