Day 3 - Ganges to Maple Bay, Vancouver Island

Well last night we enjoyed a very calm and starry night in Ganges.  Right after I finished blogging, Leo managed to spill my glass of red wine all over my jeans.  He missed the carpet thankfully.  Anyway, as I was saying, it was clear, starry and beautiful.  The reflections on the water were so beautiful.

Last night's dinner - mmm yummy burgers and potato salad

Ganges Harbour at night

Today we left bright and early.  Leo had to meet a customer in Maple  Bay - it's the only bit of business he's going to do on this trip.  We made good time and arrived a couple of hours later.  There are three marinas here and we didn't get into the one we intended to - it's a pretty tight fit, should be interesting tomorrow morning getting out of here!

Leaving Ganges Harbour

Diamonds on the water

Tara enjoys the ride and the view

These are floating homes near the marina as taken from the dinghy. Close by are very nice warm water swimming conditions.

A nice little park off the dock

When we got back to the boat, Leo gave it a good wash as the trip out the first day was windy with a lot of sea spray and it was covered in salt.
Leo swabbing the decks ARRRrrrrrrr......

This is our tight squeeze with 2 lanes of parallel parking and not much room to manouvre in between!

Now, before I sign off, I must tell you that as soon as I sat down to blog, Leo managed to spill another glass of red wine and this time all over the carpet!  No more wine and blogging!!!
