Today we travelled south along the Saanich Inlet on our way to Tod Inlet . It was a beautful voyage. We took our time and just enjoyed the gentle scenery along the way. Tod Inlet is small and near the head of the inlet you can moor at the "back door" to the Butchart Gardens.

The back entrance to the Butchart Gardens (for float plane and boats only)
When you come in the back way, you do the whole gardens backwards, which was okay with me because you saw the Japanese Garden first, and again when you leave. I liked this garden the best of all.
When we got to the main enttance plaza area, I checked out the huge gift shop, which was amazing. I could have spent a day in there! While I was in there, Leo had the dog and took some flower close-ups.

Part of the beautiful formal Italian garden
"Boar Scarer" - this is a fountain, a bamboo reed fills with water causing a "see-saw" effect, which makes the reed hit the rock and make a noise
As we approached the entrance/exit for the dinghy dock, we noticed the peek a boo hole cut into the dense cedar to make way for a stunnng view of the little cove.
Our dinghy awaits
On the ride home we saw this giant jellyfish. The small one is a moon jelly and there are a lot of them here. They can be super tiny to about the size here, and they don't sting.

Blues Breaker awaits.
Tonight there was supposed to be a meteor shower but we didn't stay up for it, but the stars out here are something else.
